2nd Battalion, 12th Infantry Regiment — last updated 10 September 2026
This covers the 2-12 Battalion Discord bots and the dashboard at 2-12-dashboard.playit.plus. They are run by the owner of the 2-12 Battalion Discord server for that server and nobody else. There is no company behind this, nothing is sold, and none of it is shared with advertisers.
What is kept
All of it comes from taking part in the Discord server.
- Who you are in the server. Your Discord account id, username, server nickname and avatar.
- Your place in the unit. Rank, company, the date you joined, leave of absence status, and the time zone you set.
- Activity counts. Minutes spent in voice channels, how many messages you sent, and how many events you attended. Counts only.
- Your record. Warnings, timeouts, kicks, bans and notes, each with the reason an officer wrote, who issued it and when.
- Things you were given or did. Medals and their citations, trainings, clip submissions and votes, tickets, suggestions, applications to join, leave requests, and game scores.
- Your Google address, but only if you choose to link one. See below.
- Currency and purchases in the off-duty economy bot.
What is not kept
- The things you say. Message content is never written to any of these databases. The staff audit log copies edited and deleted messages into a private Discord channel so moderators can see what changed; that copy lives in Discord, under Discord's own rules, and never reaches the bot's storage.
- Passwords. Signing in is done by Discord. The dashboard never sees one.
- Payment details. Nothing here takes money.
- Your Discord access token. It is used twice when you sign in, once to ask who you are and once to ask what roles you hold in the server, and then thrown away. It is never stored and never reaches your browser.
Google account access
Battalion documents live in Google Docs. Google decides who may open a
document by Google account address, and Discord cannot tell the bot yours,
so you may link one yourself with the
/link-gmail command or from the dashboard. Linking is optional.
Without it you simply cannot be given access to a document.
The bot also holds authorisation to act on the server owner's own
Google Drive, granted by the owner. It uses the
drive.file permission, which reaches only files the bot itself
created — it cannot read anything else in that Drive. It is used for
one thing: creating battalion documents, and sharing them with the linked
addresses of the people entitled to read them.
The owner can withdraw that at any time at myaccount.google.com, and you can unlink your own address whenever you like.
Cookies
- One that is required. A session cookie that keeps you signed in. Without it the dashboard cannot work, so it is not optional and is not presented as if it were.
- One that is not. If you allow it, this device remembers your name and picture so the sign-in screen can greet you instead of starting cold. It stays in your browser, it is never sent anywhere, and signing out forgets it.
There is no analytics, no tracking and nothing from anybody else.
Who else sees it
- Discord, because that is where all of this happens.
- Google, for the roster, activity and training spreadsheets the bot writes to, and for the documents described above.
- Officers of the battalion, who can see records, activity and applications as part of running the unit. Your record of offences is not on any public page.
It is not sent anywhere else, and it is not sold.
Where it is kept, and for how long
On a single computer run by the server owner, not on a rented server or a cloud account. Backups are taken to a USB drive kept with it.
Records are kept for as long as the server needs them. If you leave, your currency balance is deleted after 30 days, and the rest can be removed on request. Ask the server owner in Discord and it will be taken out.
Children
Discord requires its users to be at least 13, or older where local law says so. This follows Discord's rule and nothing here is aimed at anybody younger.
Asking about any of it
Message the server owner in the 2-12 Battalion Discord server. That is the way to ask what is held about you, to have it corrected, or to have it removed.
Changes
If what the bots store changes, this page changes with it, and the date at the top moves.
